Biography One of the new freshman from Northville, Shayla Croteau is a swift, sure-handed defenseman, who bolsters the Spartan backline this spring. Croteau has speed, can play at a fast pace and is eager to learn how to play at the collegiate level. “Shayla does everything you ask of her and them some and she’s always striving to get better every practice. We think she has a great future as a Spartan defender moving forward,” said Brent Hiner, MSU’s defensive coordinator.
