Biography The freshman from Flushing will play close defense for the Spartans. The likable defensemen spent the fall learning to play at a faster pace than her high school team and improved greatly, said team officials. “Zoe is another of our freshman we look forward to working with this year. She works hard, is really athletic and wants to improve, which is the real hallmark of a champion,” said Brent Hiner, MSU’s defensive coordinator.
