The heart and soul of Sparty womens’ lacrosse for 2016 is named Lauren Pacholski. The 2016 Spartan captain is one of the “hardest working young athletes on a lacrosse field.” The talented senior who hails from just outside Chicago, is an amazing player who will play a big part in the Spartan defense. "She's just the kind of athlete you want on your team. I can win a lot of game with players like Lauren," said Brent Hiner, MSU's defensive coordinator. "She plays every game like its her last." The talented defenseman from Libertyville, Illinois, is the real deal. Pacholski has played at a high prep and club level prior to coming to East Lansing and it shows every year. She has excellent stick skills and knows the game and was an All-WCLL standout a year ago. “The only thing I can tell you about Lauren is when she took the field our first practice that it didn’t even look like she was a freshman. She’s a great player with outstanding skills and always plays hard,” said Greg Normand, Michigan State’s head coach. Pacholski should have a great spring because she picked up valuable experience practicing with NCAA Division II power Lake Erie College during her internship in Cleveland this fall. |
