Year Head Coach
Biography Greg Normand enters his sixth year as the head coach of the Michigan State Women’s' Lacrosse team. The Spartans finished 14-11 last year and won 66 games in five years under his direction. The Spartans qualified for the WCLL post-season tournament and led the conference and nation in scoring for the fourth straight year. During Normand’s tenure in East Lansing, he has coached four WCLA All-American, 29 WCLL All-Conference players and serves as president of the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse League’s (WCLL) Board of Directors. He doubles as the webmaster for the Women’s’ Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA) Board of Directors, the US Lacrosse’s governing body for 259 women’s’ intercollegiate club lacrosse programs across the country. In addition to his Michigan State duties, Normand is the men's head lacrosse coach at Oxford High School, where the Wildcats are 56-30 in five seasons including a recent Oakland Activities Association championship. The Michigan State coach has coached lacrosse for more than 20 years and has served as head coach for Central and Eastern Michigan universities. Normand was the head coach at St. Mary's Prep, where he was 48-33 with a regional title in 2009 and a MHSAA Division II state runner-up finish the same year. He was instrumental in assisting new programs at Waterford Kettering and Rochester during the early part of his career.
