Background: Durbo played 2 years of lacrosse at the U of Redlands, discovering it half way through her college career and started coaching the UW Women's team in 2016.  She earned the honors of Rookie of the Year and back-to-back Hot Tamale awards, given to the player who most consistantly pumps up the team. 11 years later, Durbo sits 5th on the Individual Single-Season Record list for both Groundballs and Groundballs per game. The girls ranked ahead of her are the players she had the honor of coaching. This will be Durbo's 10th season coaching lacrosse; having coached for both the University of Redlands and the University of Puget Sound, as well as with the Snohomish Lacrosse Club. She currently works for New Motion Physical Therapy on Bainbridge Island, where she gets to marry her love for athletics, with helping people achieve a better quality of life despite all different types of neurologic and orthopedic impairments. Being able to teach her clients and players different skills, concepts of perseverance, and attributes of character on the field and in the clinic, and then to watch those carry over into real life application is one of her most rewarding experiences. We are excited to welcome Durbo as a new UW women's coach and believe she will be a large asset to the success of the team, due to her vast experience and upbeat nature.
